Quick Easy Pizza Dough

Here’s a quick recipe for pizza dough that’s a perfect starter for all your favorite toppings. It’s basic, easy for beginners and quite delish!

Ingredients:

1-1/2 cups flour

1 cup warm water

1 Tablespoon olive oil, more for greasing

1 packet dry active yeast

1-1/2 teaspoons salt

2 teaspoons sugar

Directions:

In a non-metal bowl pour yeast, sugar and warm water, DO NOT STIR, let sit and proof for about 10 minutes. While that happens, mix the dry ingredients together. When the yeast is proofed (doubled in size and foamy) pour into dry ingredients, then add the oil. Mix with a dough hook (or hands) until dough forms and no longer sticks to the side of the bowl. This may require adding slightly more flour or water to get the right consistency. Next, knead dough for 5 minutes. Preheat oven to 425. Let the dough rise for 20-30 min. Flatten onto greased pizza pan or cookie sheet. Add favorite toppings and bake for 10-14 min. depending on oven. Makes one medium/large pizza, recipe can be easily doubled, no need to double the yeast. Enjoy!
